Description of Invention

This study explores the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Movement Control Order (MCO) on single mother entrepreneurs participating in Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) microcredit programs. By assessing economic, social, psychological, and digital empowerment, the research identifies the effectiveness of AIM’s interventions during the crisis. Findings reveal that while AIM’s microcredit programs provided moderate support in sustaining businesses and increasing income, further enhancements in training and skills development are necessary for greater empowerment. The study underscores the importance of comprehensive support systems in strengthening the resilience of single mother entrepreneurs in challenging times.
