Description of Invention

The study examines Muslim parents in Malaysia and their perspectives on young children's use of digital devices. It highlights the growing prevalence of digital device usage among children, influenced by parents' beliefs, practices, and cultural backgrounds. The study, based on semi-structured interviews, identifies four reasons why Muslim parents allow their children to use digital devices. It also outlines three advantages, four disadvantages, and two consequences of such usage from the parents' viewpoint. The research addresses the lack of specific guidelines for Muslim parents in Malaysia on managing children's digital device use, emphasizing the need for culturally relevant guidance.
