Description of Invention
Manually grading test papers can be a time-consuming and error-prone process, often burdening educators with a significant workload. The inconsistencies in human grading, coupled with the increasing volume of examinations, necessitate an efficient and accurate solution to address this challenge. Introducing QuickGrade, an NLP-based Automatic Grading System, that empowers educators by providing them with software to define reference answers with exams, and uses it to check student’s answers, with a commitment to simplicity and functionality, the project is poised to redefine the grading experience in educational institutions. To do this, the project streamlines the use of Natural Language Processing (NLP) approaches. Instead of moving into the complex subject of NLP, the project takes a more straightforward approach that focuses on text-based replies and references. This enables a user-friendly development and deployment process while allowing for incremental expansion. This software solution is meant to speed up grading by automatically comparing student responses to teacher-defined reference answers.
