Description of Invention

Self-efficacy is an important factor in learning as it refers to a student's belief in their ability to succeed in a particular task or situation. This project integrated pedagogical agent in guiding and motivating students in mathematics learning. The pedagogical agent learning platform was designed to provide motivation and encouragement, in creating an active learning environment to students. The objective of the study was to examine the students’ self-efficacy in the pedagogical agent learning platform. It was found that students’ self-efficacy improved when students were using the pedagogical agent learning platform for learning mathematics. The study suggests that the pedagogical agent learning platform could be a learning platform to encourage more engagement and increase the motivation among students.
