Description of Invention
The awareness of the traditional Malaysian game Wau is diminishing among Malaysians, overshadowed by modern gaming applications. This qualitative research investigates the impact of integrating instructional content into a Wau game application. This research aims to evaluate how well the instructional content facilitates learning and engagement among users. Through in-depth interviews and observations, the research explores player feedback and preferences. The goal is to contribute to the continuation of traditional Malaysian games by incorporating instructional design methodologies in game applications. The study results led to the development of the Wau game application, emphasizing how instructional content enhances cultural understanding through gameplay. The research identifies a gap in active participation in traditional games among the younger generation, emphasizing the need for strategies to increase engagement.
