Description of Invention

The low-income (B40) group in Malaysia faces a significant mental health burden. Digital Mental Health Interventions (DMHI) offer innovative solutions for addressing mental disorders (MD). This study conducts a systematic review to explore DMH tools for preventing MD among the low-income group (LIG) and identifies factors influencing adoption. Out of 2,694 papers identified on Scopus, 37 full-text articles were assessed, with 4 ultimately included in the analysis. The review identified three main DMH tools: Mobile Health (mHealth), telehealth, and chatbots, plus social media platforms. Key factors driving engagement include accessibility, communication, affordability, cultural sensitivity, and government policies.
