Description of Invention

ECONUT is 100% biodegradable paper made from coconut husk with plant-based inks packed with a tote bag that made from coconut husk too. Each page had imbedded seeds that, when planted, would blossom into plants or flowers, or even herbs! According to National Wildlife Federation, at least 640,000 tons of books are sent to the landfill on a year-to-year basis (Hickey and Jones, 2020). Malaysian SDG 2023 performance shows that out of the 17 SDGs, Malaysia only achieved a desirable SDG level for Goal 1. Therefore, there is a need to have products that help in other SDG elements such as ECONUT which create an ecosystem for the books.
