Description of Invention
Conveyors, commonly used for transporting semi-solid materials like food waste, wood, and earth. Screw conveyors, which consist of a rotating screw inside a stationary trough, are crucial for the continuous and reliable movement of heavy loads in various industrial settings. Their adaptability allows for vertical, horizontal, or angled configurations, making them ideal for confined spaces and easy to install. Screw conveyors serve a wide range of applications, including transporting and mixing dry or liquid materials, offering precise control over material flow. They can also be effectively sealed to prevent contamination and the escape of dust or fumes. In this project, a screw-type conveyor was designed, modeled in Autodesk Inventor software, 3D printed, assembled, and demonstrated.
