Description of Invention

Accounting literacy is essential for effective financial decision-making, yet many students struggle with traditional learning methods, leading to poor understanding and low motivation. This project addresses the need for innovative educational tools by introducing "Accounting Monopoly," a gamified board game that teaches key accounting principles such as debit/credit recording, cash flow management, and financial statement preparation. Through interviews and surveys conducted during the empathy stage, we found that 62.5% of respondents expressed interest in purchasing an interactive game to learn accounting. By integrating game design with accounting education, this project aims to make learning more engaging and practical, ultimately enhancing students’ financial literacy and preparedness for real-world financial challenges.
