Description of Invention

The reason behinds using Intelligent Electronic Arbitration (IEA) system in Malaysia for resolving commercial disputes is motivated by a strong dedication to sustaining arbitration practices during unpredictable situations like the COVID-19 outbreak. The difficulties in enforcing IEA awards highlight the need to streamline and modernize the process. Using qualitative legal research, it discovered that transforming the IEA award into a smart IEA award, utilising smart contracts that are self-enforcing and immutable when specific conditions are met, offering potential to revolutionise arbitration by automating the enforcement of IEA awards without the intervention of the Malaysian High Court.
