Humanoid Robotic Platform for Intelligent Robotic Research

Description of Invention

This is an experimental robotic platform that the author builds to integrate all the various robotic systems and modules build by the robotic group in Faculty of Engineering over the years. There are four variants, ranging from a 1:30 scale machine at 14.0 cm height, weighting only 0.3 kg, 1:10 scale machine at 28.0 cm height and 1.0 kg, to present version of 1:3 scale at 40 cm and 3.0 kg. A final version 1:1 at 100 cm height and 10 kg will be built in 2024. The machine contains all the components of a modern intelligent robot and allows us to test various algorithms and software architecture for autonomous robot research.
