Description of Invention
The perspective of this project is providing the community with methods and tools to cultivate resilience in digital ecosystem. This project is to equip community with the skills and knowledge necessary to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of different design approaches, tools and techniques to use in additive manufacturing (also known as 3D printing whereby the process is used to fabricate a physical object from 3D digital model). In addition to this project, the fundamental principles of sketching and prototyping in design has been introduce to the community to enhance their ability to visualize and communicate their ideas effectively. Currently, this project will be a practical understanding of 3D printing technology including the use of CAD software and 3D modeling tools to create the physical prototypes from their designs. Based on the subject offered at the secondary school which focus on the Reka Bentuk Teknologi (RBT) is an elective subject that emphasizes design in the production of technology-based products. The aim of RBT is to produce students who can create products that are both practical and meaningful. While the RBT teachers are equip with the knowledge and facilities, they still require an industry insight that can be shared by the subject matter experts. The knowledge and skill that will being acquire from this program will enrich the student's ability to produce a product.
