Description of Invention
This project explores multimedia learning design effects on learners' social, affective-motivational, cognitive load, and learning outcomes. We focus on emerging emotional design themes around anthropomorphizing visual and verbal information representations, Alexa's vocal emotional tones, pedagogical agent's facial emotional expressions, and warm versus cold colors. We designed and utilized eye-tracking tools as a complimentary analysis tool to unveil insights into learners' cognitive and attentional processes when interacting with the multimedia learning elements above.
