Description of Invention

In today's educational landscape, the focus extends beyond academic knowledge, emphasising the development of 21st-century skills like problem-solving and collaboration. The rapid shift in higher education due to COVID-19 necessitates innovative approaches. This research introduces a Game-Based Community of Practices (GBCoP) model, merging digital tools and collaborative activities. A mixed-methods approach, including pre/post-surveys and interviews, assessed students' motivation, engagement, and skills. Results indicate substantial improvements in engagement, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving within the GBCoP environment. These findings advocate for the integration of these strategies, fostering vibrant communities of practice and enriching the learning experience.
