Description of Invention
Research citation is important because it is the basis of academics, which serve as a signpost and acknowledgement. MyCite is a national citation database within Malaysia through its MyJurnal portal. Despite its important, current MyJurnal and MyCite lack of the functionality to provide real-time updates. These updates were performed manually based on the estimated periodically appearance of new issue within a particular journal. Thus, this project embarks iMyCite to augment the current MyCite by leveraging on effective web crawling and indexing technique to crawl the international citation databases to dynamically retrieve the updates, and subsequently append to MyJurnal and MyCite repository.
