Description of Invention

Drowning is lethal incident that are happening worldwide. Recent researches are focusing on close and remote monitoring approaches. These methods are challenging to implement in public water region as one requires additional devices for individuals while another is exposed to privacy leakage. Proposed solution uses surface water wave patterns to recognize swimming, drowning and jumping into water. A multi-layer perceptron (MLP) is implemented in the system with the initial accuracy of 77%. After extracting and implementing representable features, detection accuracy improved 10%. This research provides a solution to a safer public water region, which contributes to the sustainable development goals.
