GREEN VACUUM CLEANER

Description of Invention

The Green Vacuum Cleaner prototype was designed and made with focus on green sustainability principles. Not only does the project includes usage of recyclable materials but it was designed to be mobile, lightweight and simple enough to still meet its primary function as a vacuum cleaner. The project is intended to used as a teaching tool to create awareness for school students that innovation and sustainability issues are important knowledge for the next future generations. The 3 main parts of the Green Vacuum Cleaner are: (1) Body – 1.5liter soft drink recyclable plastic bottle (2) Electrical components – 9V battery and circuitry. (3) Motor – DC Motor The usage of the plastic bottle creates awareness to students that there are used items that can be further modified/reused for new purposes. In addition, it shows that not all products need to be made from scratch. The 9V battery, simple switches and wires are easily available and creates awareness that simple design that works supports the sustainability principles. The DC Motor was sourced and is sufficient to support the vacuum suction function.
