Description of Invention
This study presents the design and evaluation of an educational toy using Indonesian Sign Language to support alphabet and number learning in deaf children aged 3–5. Developed through a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach, the toy integrates visual, interactive, and safe elements tailored to the developmental and sociopsychological needs of young learners. The effectiveness of the toy was assessed through pre- and post-tests using independent sample t-tests, which revealed a significant improvement in learning outcomes. The results highlight the value of inclusive, engaging media in early education for children with hearing impairments. Recommendations for future development include design simplification and enhanced interactivity.
