Description of Invention
Mental health issues are increasing among Generation Z and many are turning to mental health applications (mHealth apps) for support. Despite their benefits, not everyone adopts these apps. This study explores the key factors that influence Generation Z's intention to use mHealth apps. It applies a modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) model, focusing on Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, Perceived Susceptibility, Perceived Severity, Self-Efficacy, and Cues to Action. The research collected data from 200 Malaysian respondents through an online survey. The findings of this study may offer valuable insights for app developers, healthcare policymakers, and mental health advocates.
