Description of Invention

The Quinn’s Quest, funded by FRGS and TMRND, integrates Augmented Reality (AR) Game to enhance theory learning in large design classes. Using the principles of Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and Herrington’s Authentic Learning, the AR game creates socially situated, peer-supported, and problem-based learning environments. Students collaborate through discussion, negotiation, and reflection within real-world scenarios, using peer scaffolding to bridge gaps in understanding. The findings indicate that this game-based approach improves engagement, critical thinking, and collaboration.
